We the members of the Vietnam Veterans of America Bluewater Chapter 284 are proud to announce that we are hosting "The Moving Wall" at the Marysville American Legion Post 449 located at 299 Huron Blvd., Marysville, MI.. The American Legion Riders of Marysville Post 449 will be organizing the escort on Wednesday, July 30^th and the opening ceremony will be on July 31^st. It will be available around the clock until the closing ceremony on Monday, August 4^th about noon. More information will come at a later date.

"The Moving Wall" is the half-size replica of The Vietnam Veterans Memorial a national war memorial located in Washington, D.C. which is a black granite wall inscribed with over 58,000 names to honor members of the U.S. armed forces who had died in service or are unaccounted for during the Vietnam War,

"The Moving Wall has been touring the country for more than twenty years. Like the original, this replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial was built to honor the veterans of the Vietnam War. In its own way, this replica can provide a lasting memory of those who gave their lives during this war. It also gives those people who cannot travel to Washington D.C. a chance to visit the memorial.

In order to achieve this project we are asking for donations from local business and citizens. Donations come in many forms: such as printing of programs and flyers, flowers, time, materials, volunteers and of course monetary donations to help cover the expenses.
