CHAPTER COLORS:

As of the first part of 2006 our chapter has adopted new chapter colors. They are now royal blue and white. With the new colors, a new chapter logo has also been adopted.

With the adoption of the new colors and logo, we  now have a new chapter jacket.

It has been very popular with all of the members who have seen it and several have purchased one.

Unfortunately, we are no longer able to order more jackets until we can locate a new supplier for our patch, but we will announce it as soon as it is available.

The new logo was designed by chapter member

Dave Dandron,

Meaning of Symbols of Patch

The significance or meaning of the new 2006 colors and logo for VVA Bluewater Chapter 284       is as follows:

  • The Bluewater Bridge with the lake is self explanatory as to Bluewater Chapter.

  • The Red Lighthouse signifies the life blood of the 58,477 + soldiers who died defending this country.

  • The Rays of Light from the top of the lighthouse represents the rays of hope that our POW / MIA’s will be found.

  • The Steady Yellow Window Lights represent that old saying "We’ll leave the light on for ya" for the POW / MIA’s.

  • The Orange Ribbon stands for remembrance of all of those who died of Agent Orange.

  • The U. S. Flag stands for Freedom.
